Elayne’s patterns are built from core blocks, so the theme works fully on its own. Aludra is an optional free plugin from the same developer that adds 32 custom blocks. It is the direct continuation of the earlier Elayne Blocks plugin, renamed and generalized so it also serves other Imagewize themes. The blocks are theme-agnostic and work with any WordPress theme. Getting Started with Elayne
Simple installation, zero configuration required.

Installation
Elayne is free and available in the official WordPress.org theme directory, with 400+ active installations. The fastest way to install is straight from your dashboard:
- In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme
- Search for “Elayne”
- Click Install, then Activate
- Start designing in Appearance → Editor
Prefer to work from source? The theme is also on the GitHub repository — download the latest release and upload it via Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
Using the Site Editor
Access the visual site builder at Appearance → Editor to:
- Edit Templates – Customize headers, footers, and page layouts
- Global Styles – Change colors, fonts, and spacing site-wide
- Style Variations – Switch entire design with one click
- Create Pages – Build with patterns, no coding needed
Building Pages with Patterns
- Create a new page in WordPress
- Click the Toggle inserter button (+ icon)
- Select the Patterns tab
- Browse by category (Hero, Features, Testimonials, etc.)
- Click a pattern to insert it
- Customize text, images, and colors
- Choose a page template (Full, Wide, Centered, etc.)
- Publish your page
