Do I need to switch hosting, or can you work with my current setup?
We can work with most hosts — Kinsta, WP Engine, SiteGround, Cloudways, or your own VPS. For new projects we recommend our Trellis Hetzner hosting because it gives you the most control and the best performance for the price. But we’ll never push you into a hosting change you don’t need — we’ll work with what you have and tell you honestly whether a switch would make a measurable difference.
What’s the difference between a fixed-price quote and hourly work?
Fixed-price means you get a written quote for a defined scope before any work starts — you know exactly what you’re paying, and we absorb any overrun on our side. Hourly work is for ongoing maintenance, smaller fixes, or tasks where the scope is genuinely hard to define upfront. Both are proper engagements — you choose which fits your situation. We’ll suggest the right model when we discuss your project.
Can you take over an existing WordPress site that someone else built?
Yes. We do this regularly. The first step is an audit — we look at the codebase, hosting setup, plugin stack, and security posture. We’ll tell you what we’re taking on, what the risks are, and what it would cost to bring things up to standard. If the existing setup is too far gone to maintain efficiently, we’ll say so and give you options. We don’t charge for the initial assessment call.
